Gokula Krishna Vadivel, known as GKV, is a composer, arranger, singer and producer. He released his first album, Ninaivellam Nee, on 14 February 2013 and has not stopped since. Early credits list him as V Gokula Krrishna, and his first studio was called Go Cool Studio.

His independent songs came first. Anthem RED aired on Sun Music in 2015, and in 2017 Kagidha Odam won the Jury award for Best Music Video. Short-film directors started calling, and that led to his first feature, the Telugu film Oye Idiot, in 2020. He has since scored ten features in Tamil, Telugu and Kannada, including Piranthanaal Vazhthukal, which was selected for the Indian Panorama at IFFI 2025 and won him Best Background Score at the Asian Film Festival 2025. His song Sita from Scene Number 62 won Best Song of the Year at the Awardio Music Festival, and his score for the short film Kayamai won Best Music Director at the French Duck Film Festival.

He likes to record real instruments, especially nadaswaram and Indian percussion, and he often sings on his own songs. He also dances, and in 2024 he judged the Singing Super Star competition for Paadarivom Padipparivom.
